The Annual Parish Meeting on Wednesday 10th May 2017 received a report on the work and achievements of Hereford City (Parish) Council over the past year as well as celebrating our City’s Heroes and the projects they deliver within the City of Hereford. The work of these groups, all of them made of volunteers from the local communities, helps to shape the City as we know it today.

The winner of the Youth Project Award, presented by Hereford City Youth Council and supported by Kidwells Solicitors, was Close House Projects, who received a cheque for £200 to support projects they deliver.


The winner of the Hereford in Bloom Community Open Spaces Award went to the Country Park Supporters, who received a cheque for £100 towards their next project.


The winners of the main Community Group Awards, all the groups listed below received cheques towards the continuation of their projects, went to:

In third place – Hereford River Carnival, who received a cheque for £200.



In second place – the Tupsley Whitehouse Project, who received a cheque for £500.


In first place – St Nicolas Community Association, who received a cheque for £1000.
