Hereford City Council have agreed not to increase the Council Tax precept for the financial year 2023-2024. This means that the element of the Council Tax bill received by residents for the costs of the City Council will remain the same and not see an increase.
We’re committed to maintaining the services provided by the City Council, such as our community grants, running the Tourist Information Centre, hosting city events such as the Christmas Lights Switch-On, and much more. However, we also know that residents of Hereford are facing challenging economic times, as is much of UK. City Councillors therefore resolved to keep the City Council’s Council Tax precept at the same amount.
