Hereford Peace Council hold Annual Peace Tree Service

This morning the Hereford Peace Council held their Annual Peace Tree Service at Hereford Crematorium.  This service is in commemoration for the Hiroshima & Nagasaki Bombings, which marked an end to World War II. These bombings took place on August 6th and 9th 1945, making this the 77th Anniversary.  The service was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Hereford Jacqui Carwardine who represented the Mayor of Hereford and other guests and members of the Peace Council.  There was a minutes silence followed by prayers and poems from the attending guests, this was held under the shade to protect the attendees.
