Your Councillor: Mayor of Hereford, Jacqui Carwardine

I was born in Birmingham and moved to Hereford in 1962, and lived at Newton Farm, with my parents Jack& Joyce and my brother Peter.
I attended Hunderton School and went on to Redhill Secondary School.
I had a passion for horses and swimming and did both as often as I could.
I left school in 1969 and went to work at Smart & Brown, in the computer room.
I joined the Army in 1981 and served for 10 years.
I had my oldest daughter Katie in 1986 .
I moved to Cumbria in 1990. Had my second daughter Emily in 1991.We moved back to Hereford in 1997.
I became a city councillor in 2003 for Newton Farm.
I retired in 2018 from Wye Bridge Motors after 18 years.
I now write plays for the theatre, work with the RSPCA and a governor at the Hereford Academy.
