You may have seen the black noticeboards  – some of which also carry maps – with the City’s crest on them.  These are the new boards installed over the last four years by the City Council.  We aim to provide boards where there is a live community group who will look after them, keep the notices up to date etc.  The same style of board is used in the centre of the City to mount tourist maps which can be purchased at the boards for £1-00.  Sometimes we are asked to fund notice boards for community groups in different styles, for example in parks where the black metal board might look out of place.  Your local City Councillor is the first point of contact to talk about getting a board for your group.
