30 September to 15 October 2023
Hereford AppleFest 2023 is here!
Our region of Herefordshire has the perfect soils and weather to grow the finest apples and pears in the world, not to mention centuries of experience in crafting fine apple juice, cider and perry. Hereford AppleFest celebrates that heritage annually with two weeks of apple, cider and perry related experiences across the entire County.
The 2023 festival began with the Hereford AppleFest Kick Off in High Town, which saw over 4,000 people visit the City centre to experience a day full of live music, performances, artisan cider, perry and apple juice, children’s activities and more.
Two weeks of fringe events follow, taking place all across Herefordshire. From cider tasting, to apple fairs, to art exhibitions, events of every variety are hosted by our wealth of hard-working organisations to provide unique and memorable experiences for visitors.
Hereford AppleFest is concluded by a banquet, which is held in the majestic Assembly Hall, the scene of many lavish banquets over the 120 year history of the Grade II listed Town Hall. This year the menu is exquisitely designed to celebrate Herefordshire’s special relationship with the pear.
Thank you for helping us celebrate some of Herefordshire’s most iconic and historic symbols – the apple and the pear.
A Hereford City Council event in partnership with: Big Apple Association, Herefordshire CAMRA, Encore Enterprises, Hereford Cathedral, Hereford City Life, Hereford College of Arts, Herefordshire Council, Little Pomona Orchard & Cidery, Museum of Cider, Three Counties Cider and Perry Association,
