Sam Potts has a wealth of experience in governance in all three sectors. He is a First Aid and Health and Safety Trainer and a Director of HANDS Herefordshire Autism Neuro diverse support group. He is the Lib Dem Deputy Leader and is County Executive Officer for the county as his day job. Father of one daughter, Sam doesn't get much free time but likes to spend time with friends and family. He is the City Council Representative for Close House and Herefordshire Association of Local Councils. He has held senior positions in Social Services, Public Health and Social Care and Children Services with a focus on looked after children and adoption and permanency. Serving on a number of school governing bodies, he was Deputy Cabinet Member for Children’s Services on Milton Keynes Council and Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health. As well as a policy advisor to the executive members on Liverpool City Council. Sam the first cabinet member from BAME community, specialising in the transition to adult services in Milton Keynes. He has also been the lead opposition spokesman for finance and audit on a fire authority, and takes a focus on finance.

Sam shares his surgery with the other Liberal Democrat councillors no appointment required just turn up: Friday - Belmont Community Centre, Saturday - 54 St Owens Road Hereford . He is also happy to meet residents in their own home, phone to make an appointment
